Re. Ebay Seminar/Business Opportunity Session.

To begin we had a full house session for the Ebay Seminar held at our Mabopa office in Dataran Prima this morning.
More than 50 Mabopa members came. There were the usual goodie bag by Ebay and light refreshment too.
This exclusive free of charge Ebay Seminar was brought to you by Mabopa. Never mind if most of you were a little late due to being the first time coming to our new office and also due to the fact that the open car park was full.
So what is Ebay?
Ebay is a program that eBay SEA is helping us (book publishers) to start and grow their cross border business on eBay where majority of the target customers lies in USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany & France. Applications for eBay for Business assistance will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Innovativeness of the business idea…
- Commercial feasibility of the business model..
- Potential market opportunity…
- Management Team…among others.
To give you a quick idea on how it works…eBay is like a big supermarket and books would be one of the catergory/product range where shopper would be able to purchase online directly to you…you would have to take care of the shipping yourself…eBay would charge you USD 0.20 cent for each book listing for a month plus a small commission per transaction. I guess this would be one quick channel to sell your books…thinking of creating your own Online shopping…? think twice cos it would cost you at least a 5 figure cost! Worth a try so to speak.
